Abhisehekappam lake is just around the corner of the town Puducherry. Less explored and less maintained lake. However it’s beauty is just pristine and preserved underneath. I discovered the lake on a weekend cycling ride along with my friend Charles. It was not a planned ride to discover the lake. It just happened on a detour we took just by looking at the Google maps.

Its a 0.800 Sq. km lake, partly having access to walk around for about 800 meters on east side of the lake as marked above on the map (point A to point B). The trail to the lake is surrounded by paddy fields and palm trees on either sides. Don’t miss out the sacred groves and the small temple to worship the locale deities on your way.
